Theme Scheme Radio presented a very special program, in honor of The Second Coming...of the Catholic Girls, the Greatest All-Catholic, All-Girl band ever. They were way ahead of their time when they released their first album back in 1982. They didn’t find their audience and group broke up without issuing a follow-up. Well, it’s 20 years later, and the Catholic Girls’ day has finally come. Their second album, Make Me Believe, was released, and to celebrate in typical Theme Scheme style, we presented the program Catholic Tastes, a more-or-less reverent look at Catholic and Catholic-inspired music of many kinds, including tracks from the Catholic Girls recordings throughout the show. To learn more about the Girls, check out their web site at TheCatholicGirls.net. The Catholic Girls held their official CD release party for the disc Make Me Believe at The Broadway Central on Saturday, March 2nd, 2002 at 10:30PM. [The address is 114 South Broadway, South Amboy, NJ and their number is (732) 721-2059]. Although the CD release is over, the program remains in our permanent collection and is still airing.
