Theme Scheme Radio features theme programs in all sorts of different musical genres. We might salute a rock songwriter one hour, and explore Broadway songs with similar titles the next. We're fond of highlighting a musical instrument as it pops up in blues, classical, and pop recordings in one show and then looking at the ways big band, doo-wop, and country have sung about the same subject matter in the next.

We find the similarities between some of the most different sounds you can imagine as we weave thematic threads through the crazy quilt of the human aural experience. (We're not bad at metaphors, either.)

We play the famous and the forgotten; the great and the grating; the Gold, the Banned, and the Oldie.* We love the sublime, and we revel in the ridiculous. We may not have taste, but we have organization and that will just have to do.
Check out some of the programs we play and some of the artists whose work we feature by clicking on the links to our Current Rotation and Archives above and to the right.
